“WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! So love them all!! <3 Honestly, not really too sure how to say thank you!! Everyone we have shown them too are totally blown away by how amazing they are!!”

Every time someone reaches out and asks us to shoot their wedding we’re like “Who, us….really?!” It’s a huge amount of trust – and something that we never take for granted. But when someone who co-ordinates weddings week in week out, plans wedding fairs and comes across hundreds of suppliers gets in touch? Bum Squeak-a-rama man, in a good way of course!

Bum-squeaks aside, when we think of Becca we immediately think of her excellent level of sarcasm, her dry sense of humour and THAT laugh. The most wonderful, infectious straight-from-yer-gut kinda laugh… She is an absolute treat man! The icing on the cake? Her equally hilarious, wonderful (now husband!) Gregg! We had a hoot on their engagement shoot so we just KNEW their wedding was going to be the bees knees! So without further ado, let’s hear it from the newlyweds themselves as they look back on their Harelaw Farm wedding photography…

So….why Harelaw Farm Becca & Gregg?

“It was just so god damn pretty!

We always fancied something a bit different, a bit more chilled, we knew we didnt really want a hotel or a place with magnolia wall.

We went to see Harelaw before they renovated it and started hosting weddings, there were no toilets, kitchen, tables chairs. Only a barn and fairylights! We were in love!”

I mean, Betty Bluebell you are K  I L L I N G  U S with this explosion of colourful floral wizardry! Try saying that ten times fast man.

So B&G, did you come across any challenges when planning your wedding?

“Trying to please everyone! Then we remembered it was our day and it should be what we want….to a certain extent.

We tried so hard to make sure our nearest and dearest were involved with most things wedding related and to make sure they were happy with all our decisions. In the beginning I (Becca) felt a lot of pressure to blow people away with the whole day and tried so hard to make sure everything was perfect for us. As time went on I realised the day was about us celebrating with our friends & family and no matter what happened on the day, it was a day that we would never forget!”

YES QWEEEEN. That is exactly what it’s about. Decide on what is most important, don’t get too swept away in what you think a wedding ‘should’ look like…and on the day itself, hand the reins over…to someone like Sarah’s Creative Occasions if you can ;)

At this point we just want to give a special shout out to Becca’s Dad, who had me (Jo!) almost greetin’ when he spoke about getting to see Becca in her dress for the first time <3

Becca’s most vivid memory is “hearing everyone AWWWWW as Dylan walked down the aisle!” :)

And Gregg’s; “Watching Becca walk down the aisle, a was just pure buzzing to see her” :)

During your planning B&G, was there anything that came up that you hadn’t anticipated?

“WHO KNEW YOU HAD TO PAY FOR YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE??

Table plans are stressful AF, who knew we knew so many people??….this was Greggs only job… *insert eye rolling face*”

Looking back at your Harelaw Farm wedding photography is there an image that jumps out at you in particular?

“The one of us walking down the lane – we just look so buzzin and happy and that’s exactly how we remember the whole day”

Gregg’s impression of this boy ahahahah!

Nick Bruce and His Blinding Lights – our favourite wedding band 100% :)

Harelaw Farm get each of their couples to drill a wooden heart with their names on them to the bar area – how cool is that?!

Any parting advice Mr and Mrs Penguin? ;)

“Dont stress about the weeee things.

Try take everything in on the day…its so hard but the day FLIES by and it’s so hard to remember everything.”
