“Our advice for your own Glasgow wedding? the day will absolutely fly in. Take time to be alone, just you and your boo. You’ll appreciate it later :)”

Ah man, M+T sure know how to throw down the most excellently chilled Glasgow wedding. Well, except for when 4 confetti cannons went off during the first kiss – even Liam crapped it and he knew about the damn things :D

The newlyweds chose to get ready at their family homes before getting all hitched up at the epic Trades Hall;

“Not only was the ballroom of the trades hall TO DIE FOR, it was also the venue for the first same sex marriage in Scotland! Awesome or what?”

Couldn’t agree more dudes! M+T made a point of keeping their Glasgow wedding relaxed from the early planning stages;

“We hadn’t anticipated how stressed out other people can get over your day… As we were both super mega chilled about everything and nothing bothered us about planning – that set other people off, thinking we’d missed loads out!”

We are huge fans of keeping things fuss free – and think that M+T aced it. But how did they keep their planning so relaxed? They started by breaking the wedding down to what they actually felt they NEEDED to be able to get married – for them it was their venue, Jen their epic Humanist, witnesses and…eh, us haha! Thanks for including us in that list guys! The biggest challenge they felt they faced was making sure their day was unique to what they wanted, rather than what was expected. They think they did pretty well at it, we think so too :D

We asked the happy couple what their most vivid memory was of their day and they had this to say;

“I’m not just saying this because it’s for the blog, but chilling out with Jo, in the ballroom after being married, getting photos at the window in the corner. Ehrmergherd that was bliss! So unsurprisingly, the photo of us gazing out the window where it looks like Thomas is about to say something to set me off laughing is our favourite!”

M has some goddam excellent advice for couples planning their own wedding;

“It’s YOUR wedding day. No one else’s so you go do what ever is special to you.
Don’t try please everyone else as someone will always be annoyed at something.
Don’t go mental on spending, unless that’s your thing. The only things you need to spend money on (in my opinion) is music and photo/video peeps!
Go for food that excites you – not everyone craves chicken with totties and veg…!
Chill out, enjoy the planning. Don’t fuss over silly wee details that no one else bar you will notice. If the bridesmaids shoes don’t match the flowers in the centrepiece – who cares?”

Slay dude, SLAY :D

Oh, and we are we are pleased to report that M did not fall over a peach on his wedding day – keeping that for his and T’s engagement shoot instead ;)

Jo + Liam :) xx
