Are you looking for a luxury Scottish castle vibe to throw your wedding shindig at? Then this Drumtochty Castle wedding is going to float your boat. A 19th century castle set in a whopping 350 acres of grounds, Drumtochty is one of those beaut exclusive use venues. You can even stay for the entire weekend with 99 of your guests able to stay on the grounds, but room for 120 folk at your wedding. Ooft! As you drive in to the grounds of Drumtochty the first thing you see is the fairytale St Palladius Church, it just comes out of nowhere and leaves you a bit speechless really – not a common thing for us haha!
When Katrina + Murray got in touch we knew they’d be just our cup of tea – they wanted a wedding that brought together all the favourite people in their lives, with a focus on the fun rather than the formality. Sign us up please! Well, they did, obviously. Otherwise we wouldn’t have these photographs huh? :D
Murray designed the slick stationary himself and even managed to get a game of footy in before he started to get ready, Liam had a right gid time photographing the game while I spent the morning howlin’ with laughter at Katrina’s awesome group of gal pals. If you are the sum of the 5 people you spend the most time with then no wonder these two are such cool cats.
From the singalong mid ceremony, to the EPIC amount of glitter confetti the whole day just felt…vibrant. A ridiculous amount of fun to be honest, and we weren’t even guests so that’s saying something! K+M’s wedding guests were right up for a party too, with a small break from the hilarity when Murray brought the entire room to tears speaking about his Mam and Katrina. That includes us, although Liam maintains he just had something in his eye ;)
I could go on to tell you about the party, but the photographs definitely speak for themselves…as does that ‘vanity fair’ photograph. Just get scrollin’ already :D
