Couple React to Surprise Wedding Film – The Backstory
Lindsay + Adam originally booked us to photograph their Glencoe elopement, telling us that they planned to film their own ceremony with their cameras on tripods. We had recently started dabbling in film so when Adam asked if they could borrow our mics so they’d have audio too we were more than happy to oblige!
As the day grew closer we thought it would be cool to film a few snippets of their morning preparations and the moments surrounding their ceremony to give to them to supplement their own footage of their day. By the time their ceremony started it was typically Scottish – pretty cold, wild rain, cheers Scotland! We noticed their cameras were getting soaked, lenses too meaning their footage would be ruined so at the last minute decided to take some short clips of their ceremony too…
In the end we realised we had enough wee snippets of their day (along with the audio from their ceremony) to create a short elopement film for them. Lindsay + Adam booked an at home couples shoot later that same year – the perfect opportunity to surprise them under the guise of an interview about their decision to book us as their wedding photographers…hit play below to see their reaction!
