Confetti Tips! We’ve photographed a lot of conf Confetti Tips! We’ve photographed a lot of confetti runs, but we’ve never actually been the main subjects of one ourselves. I imagine it’s a pretty surreal experience having thousands of tiny bits of paper thrown at you, or being pelted with handfuls of flowers (sometimes quite enthusiastically, depending on your guests). One thing we do know... they are always great fun! Top confetti tips; - You can never have too much confetti. Cannons also welcome! If you go for cannons, make sure the folk using them fire them ahead of you rather than behind - Slow down (for your photographer walking backwards if for nothing else) - Head up! Look around, look at each other, look anywhere but at your feet - You will probably eat confetti, we will definitely photograph that happening - S l o w d o w n (worth saying twice :D) Got any top confetti tips? Shooting Through The Moment // Edinburgh Elopement Shooting Through The Moment // Edinburgh Elopement We always like to shoot through a moment, we think there’s always an opportunity to add to the story that way. When you view your final gallery, we don’t want it to feel like you’ve just pop! appeared in each location, like a bit of a tick-box exercise. Transition photographs help move the story along, even if it’s something as simple as a walking photo. In this case, it’s Pierre helping Millie climb up the National Monument of Scotland - in a short dress, no less. Millie in the dress, not Pierre… although tbh Pierre could 100% pull it off. Here’s a wee snippet of how M+P felt about their time with us! “Nothing was ever too much trouble or too ridiculous for them. From climbing up monuments to catching Ubers just to get pictures of us eating ice cream, Jo + Liam were 100% up for it and brought an infectious enthusiasm to every single moment of our day and this is reflected in the incredible photos they’ve produced for us. They’ve absolutely perfected their art and simultaneously manage to get up close and capture all the important details whilst never ever making you feel like there’s a camera being shoved in your face. To be honest, if it weren’t for the constant belly laughs, we wouldn’t have known they were there most of the day.” Thank you very much pals! Yes, of course you should love their work, that part’s a given. But what really matters is how they make you feel. Especially the ones you’ll spend the most time with on the day. If you don’t click, or they don’t bring a good energy, it’s going to affect your whole experience. I’ve been talking with our daughter lately about what good friendships feel like. The right people make you feel calm, supported, accepted; like you can just be yourself. That’s exactly how your suppliers should make you feel too.
